Bernard Arnault as luxury mogul and new fashion playboy?

We can’t say, but under the beach umbrellas, in the chic cafĂ©s lining the seafront and aboard the many megayachts moored in Saint Tropez, the summer gossip is all the same. The richest man in France and the seventh-richest in the world is on the market again!
And so among the international jet-set thronging celebrated Saint Tropez, between bored wives and old fogies, amid an army of hookers and a sea of demanding fans, this is the only subject of conversation! All the women dream of having a grand romance with him, though they would be satisfied even with just a quickie, because he is the emperor of luxury, fashion czar, dictator of Logomania, king of the timeless bubbles, the high priest of absolute fetishism, the only human being considered a living luxury boutique, universally considered the man who can really make a woman the world’s most fulfilled and happiest! He is the indomitable Monsieur Bernard Arnault, chairman and owner of the French luxury conglomerate LVMH Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.
During the latest haute couture fashion shows in Paris, as the sumptuous festively decorated saloons greeted the ever less impressive artistic labours of the fashion creators, the real boom, the real news was not dictated by the fashions paraded on the catwalks. On the contrary, ladies and gentlemen, the real news was dictated by the public with its constant buzzing, refined whispering and exultant tweeting, in being able to gossip and tittle-tattle the way fashion never had before, and all this right behind the back of the supreme sovereign, Monsieur Arnault the Emperor.
And then on July 3 last, after the Dior Haute Couture show, which saw the debut of its new creative director, Raf Simons, "The Daily", the newspaper launched specially for the iPad by telecommunications magnate Rupert Murdoch, had the courage to come out into the open with the choicest titbit of gossip as the true and only latest Parisian haute couture trend, and so with careless nonchalance, "The Daily" told the world that Bernard Arnault, tycoon of luxury, and his wife Helen Mercier were breaking up. According to the paper the beautiful and gentle Helen Mercier, Mr. Arnault’s second wife, had left him for a younger man, having abandoned the marital home in December last year. It is many months now since Mrs. Arnault last appeared at her husband’s side. She was missing from the front row at the most important fashion shows of the family’s luxury brand, public events she always attended at her husband's side in the past.

But "The Daily" continued by relating an even more exciting story. In fact, according to Murdoch’s newspaper, in the meantime Mr. Arnault also has a new love interest. It seems he is having an affair with the journalist Virginie Mouzat, fashion editor at the French daily Le Figaro. Last year it began to be noticed that she had suddenly abandoned the chic androgynous style she had always favored, embracing a more glamorous and above all unclothed style.
In addition to increasingly wearing super see-through outfits that leave nothing, absolutely nothing, to the eccentric male erotic imagination (truly a pity!), it seems the journalist has also developed a true passion for self-portraiture, a fetishist of the autoclick. Just browse the Web and find the sexy lady at Google image, where you’ll immediately see there are quite a few websites with "Erotic Self-Portraits" where she appears the way her Momma made her, in all her loveliness. A shot that Virginie herself took in a hotel mirror, and if the male eye manages to focus closely, it will notice that the bold photo is not just striking for forms and nudity, but also calls dangerously in doubt something else ... her true hair color! (Another and doubly great sin!).

You can see the picture for yourselves below. Judge for yourselves!

So now this rumor-Ă -porter is on the lips of all the true fashionistas in this overheated summer, and this despite the LVMH group managing to get "The Daily" to remove the story only a few hours after its publication.
Shortly after the Twitter account @LVMH ran this short and concise statement:

The Daily made yesterday certain statements concerning Mr. and Mrs. Arnault. These statements are totally false.

You can find this prominently displayed on their page and below here!

ALL THE TRUE...
The fashion journalist Anna Piaggi died of a heart attack on the night of August 7th. A simple funeral took place for the eccentric fashion lady who on Thursday August 9th was buried in Milan's Cimitero Maggiore. Her fashion designer friends? All on holiday!!

Milan - On Monday August 6th, the fashion journalist Anna Piaggi received a phone call from her brother inviting her to come the on vacation with him the following day. Anna turned down the invitation because she did  not feel up to it. It was hot in Milan, one of the hottest summers ever. The temperature had climbed to over 35 degrees but the high humidity made it feel more like 40°. The City of Milan invited citizens to report cases of elderly people living alone or in difficulty, as the weather was very dangerous for their health.

On the morning of August 7th at about 10 a.m., her assistant turned up at Anna’s house in Via Cappuccio in the Sant’Ambrogio district of Milan, but this time he did not find the house keys that Anna habitually left for safety’s sake under the doormat. He knocked repeatedly but got no reply. Alarmed, he called the police, who arrived soon after.

The police had to force the lock to get into the apartment. Inside Anna Piaggi was found lying on the floor. There was no point calling an ambulance because she was already dead. Anna's body was not in her bedroom because she had apparently got up during the night, perhaps to ask for help. A medical examination showed she died of a heart attack. It was 11 when a call reached her brother, telling  him of Anna’s tragic death, as he was travelling on vacation. He turned back at once.
Anna Piaggi’s funeral was held at 2.45 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th, in the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, one of the oldest churches in central Milan.

A small group of people, about ninety in all, attended the funeral, being mostly members of the family, some old friends living nearby, a small knot of fellow journalists and we from Humor Chic. We spoke to some of those present and were able to reconstruct the tragic event.
Monsignor Biagio Pizzi celebrated Anna Piaggi's last goodbye. Monsignor Pizzi knows the people of his neighborhood well, including Anna who was a a very kind lady and who always passed pay to say hello when she went for her yearly Christmas blessing, says Monsignor Pizzi. He also added that for the occasion Anna would turn up in Church dressed in eccentric outfits

Only one camera filmed the service in the basilica, an absolute masterpiece of early medieval Romanesque. No famous Italian fashion designer was present, not even her old friend Karl Lagerfeld. It was summer, everyone was too busy with their beloved vacations, and then today you can commemorate a friend with a "tweet" or at most make a statement through your press office. None of the fashionistas found time for Anna, no doubt thinking hey, so what!, and anyway Anna will never know!

She had seen them as they developed and had always supported them, inspired them and given them wise advice. She never missed a fashion show or any other event, even the simplest. Anna Piaggi died alone, among her rags, just as happens to many old people like her, the only people who still inhabit the sweltering city in this period, invisible ....

Anna Piaggi was buried at the Cimitero Maggiore, Milan's largest cemetry. I wonder if after the summer holidays any of her old friends in the fashion industry will find the time to go and talk to her!

Good bye Anna
